Initial cost of the car
Hi all,
I was wondering whether adding the initial cost of a car to fuelio would make the users keep a better track of the whole costs, since it usually is a major cost, also on mid or long time period. I know that I can add a new cost category and I did, but I'd treat this as a separate cost, because it's one-shot, not a maintenance cost. I'd add it as a car attribute. What do you think about this?

That's the question. You did the right thing. Thanks to this you can see this cost on a charts. Adding to attributes is something different. I don't know if it's good idea.

I think this would be a good idea.
Also when you sell your car, you get a negative expense. Negative values are not allowed now.
At the purchase (and selling) of a car it would be nice to add the odometer value at that moment. Usually you don't have to fill-up at these moments. This has effect (although little) on your cost per kilometer.....
Negative costs will be here. About initial odo counter value. It won't affect this. I'm not calculating first fillup. This is initial value.
